Mumbai Police registered another threat against Salman Khan on Tuesday. The caller, identifying himself as Lawrence Bishnoi's brother, demanded the Bollywood actor to apologise at their temple or pay ₹ 5 Crore.
The police are undergoing an investigation to determine whether the Salman Khan threat has connections to Bishnoi. The Indian gangster is currently behind bars for murder and extortion amongst other offences.
"In the case of a threat to Actor Salman Khan, the process of registering the case is underway at Worli Police Station. The number from which the message came is being traced," remarked Mumbai Police.
The incident has come to light after the arrest of Azam Mohammad Mustafa who was charged for leaving a threatening message to Khan. The Bollywood actor was confronted with a threat demanding $ 2 crore. It was received through the traffic police's helpline, following which Worli Police registered a case.
This is not the first time Salman Khan has received threats from Lawrence Bishnoi associates. Earlier in April, shots were fired at his Bandra residence, resulting in increased security for the actor. However, the situation took a worse turn when his closest kin, Baba Siddique, was shot by the Bishnoi gang on October 12.
